Story Post 339: ReeganReegan moved around to the front of the defensive line the group had let in place between those that couldn’t fight, and the obviously angry skeletons trying to get at them. Watching the skeleton Isaac had be-headed lean over and pick hi head back up, Reegan figured that wasn’t a singular instance, so decided he wasn’t gonna try it either. “Might as well try a different approach then.” He muttered under his breath. Taking a step forward, he clenched his fist to the point where the blade above his wrist popped out with a satisfying click, and punched the knife forward directly into the face of a skeleton in front of him. The skeleton, who had been too slow to stop Reegan’s attack, crumpled to the floor, and fell silent as the bones rattled against one another on the floor, then fell silent. “Well, that worked, seems if you put a hole in their head itself, they don’t get back up. At least, not as far as I can tell.” Reegan knelt down
Story Post 338: Isabella Isabella whistled softly at the sight of the tomb before them.
Rows of coffins lined the walls, stacked like bunk beds with their feet pointed toward the center of the circular room.
At the head of each row, more coffins were placed upright and carved into the walls.
Christoph shuddered. “Well this isn’t creepy at all….” He muttered, hesitantly following after Reegan and the others as they walked farther into the room.
Across the room against the far wall was an ornate glistening silver coffin with a large statue of an ashkin man clutching a bright blue orb.
Isabella heard Belinda gasp at the sight of it.
“That’s it!!” she hissed excitedly. “That’s the talisman! It- It-“ she stuttered for a moment, staring intently at the floor as her eyes went white and a vision came to her.
She went completely still for a moment, just
Story Post 337: ReeganReegan moved ahead of the group, keeping an eye open for anymore traps. From behind he heard a large blast sound, and felt the ground and walls shake a fair bit from said explosion. Looking back the way they had come to ensure it was still dark, Reegan moved forward at a clip faster than before. Making it to the end of the hallway they were in, Reegan looked around the new chamber they were walking into, and seeing that there were no spiders here, nor anything else that could be a threat, he moved into the chamber, keeping his eyes open for anything. Motioning for Isabella to light up the room, he noticed a tomb as she did so. The tomb was large, and had a large statue standing over it. The statue was of a tall ashkin man, hooded and cloaked, holding a fair sized orb clutched between his two hands in front of him. Moving farther into the room, Reegan heard noise to the side of the room, and turned that way in time to see one of the smaller crypts on the side of the chamber burst
Story Post 336: Group After hearing Colette dive through the door to be with the rest of the group, Christoph began backing toward it. “How about lighting a little wall of fire just here to deter the spiders from following us and direct them toward those lunatics instead?” he murmured softly.
Isabella narrowed her eyes at the strangers across the room, gladly obliging and raising a wall of fire directly in front of them, blocking the door from the spiders before Christoph carried her carefully through.
“Fire?” asked Isaac, alarmed, reaching for his sword. “But that will wake the saffians!”
Christoph nodded. “Aye lad, that’s the idea. Some lunatics followed us down here with a bunch of dynamite- so we need to move quickly and get the hell away from here before shit hits the fan.”
Without a word, Allison slammed the door shut, swinging down the bar she’d discovered while waiting for th
Story Post 334: Isabella and Christoph Isabella whimpered softly at the sight of the dynamite, feeling Christoph bristle.
“What are you lunatics thinking?! Those are saffian spiders hanging above us- dynamite will only wake them! What are you trying to do, get yourselves killed?” he hissed, taking a small angry step toward them.
Isabella looked up, watching the spiders carefully. Their breathing is even, and they haven’t moved yet….. if we can just get through that door before the spiders wake maybe we can block them out….
She glanced toward Colette. “Colette!” She hissed softly, making sure the strangers couldn’t hear her. “Head through the door- Christoph and I will be right on your tail! If we get though before that dynamite blows, maybe we can barricade it from the other side!”
Christoph glanced down at her, taking a step back toward the door again and taking a few shallow rapid breaths
